Divyu Sachdeva: Engineering Growth Through Precision and Vision

Divyu Sachdeva

Electronics manufacturing has become one of the strongest pillars of India’s industrial growth, powering everything from household appliances to connected devices and smart technologies. As customer expectations evolve and product lifecycles become shorter, manufacturers are expected to deliver speed, precision, innovation, and uncompromising quality at scale. Building that kind of organisation requires leaders who understand every stage of the manufacturing process and can balance operational excellence with long-term business vision.

Divyu Sachdeva, Director of Laxmi Remote India Pvt. Ltd. (LRIPL), represents this new generation of manufacturing leadership. Leading the international business of India’s largest remote-control manufacturing company, he has played a key role in expanding operations, strengthening manufacturing capabilities, and driving sustainable growth. With expertise spanning end-to-end manufacturing, business development, marketing strategy, operational efficiency, and market analysis, he has consistently focused on delivering practical solutions that improve performance and create lasting value for customers. A graduate in Business and Management from De Montfort University, Divyu combines global business knowledge with hands-on industry experience, enabling him to guide LRIPL’s continued evolution as a trusted electronics manufacturing partner.

Built from the Ground Up

Divyu’s leadership journey is closely connected with the growth story of Laxmi Remote India Pvt. Ltd. Watching his father start the business in Noida in 1995 with determination and an unwavering commitment to quality — before Laxmi Remote India Pvt. Ltd. was formally founded in 2000 — shaped his perspective from an early stage. Rather than stepping into a designation, he stepped into the responsibility of carrying that legacy forward.

His understanding of the business began on the factory floor, where he worked across moulding, PCB fabrication, assembly, and dispatch. That hands-on experience continues to influence his decisions today. Under his leadership, LRIPL has expanded its production capacity to over 1.5 million+ units every month, strengthened its focus on remote controls and GaN chargers, and built lasting partnerships with more than 250+ leading brands, including Samsung, LG, Havells, Whirlpool, Voltas, Godrej, Crompton, and Jio. Every relationship, he believes, has been earned through consistent execution.

The Power of  Working as One Team

Divyu believes leadership begins by setting the example. His approach is built on clarity, ownership, and trust. Once people understand the direction and take responsibility, they should have the freedom to deliver without unnecessary oversight.

He has encouraged stronger collaboration by removing barriers between research and development, production, quality, and sales. This has shortened product development timelines and reduced design-to-production defects. Quality accountability is reinforced through CTQ monitoring at every production stage, but the real strength lies in the culture. Employees are encouraged to identify and resolve issues immediately, viewing mistakes as opportunities to improve rather than reasons for blame.

Manufacturing Strength That Sets LRIPL Apart

A defining strength of LRIPL is its ability to manufacture almost every critical component in-house. Under Divyu’s leadership, production has grown to 1.5 million+ units each month across 21+ assembly lines, while manufacturing capabilities now span six integrated verticals.

The company continues to strengthen its focus on remote controls and GaN chargers.

Its partnerships with more than 250+ leading brands, including Samsung, LG, Havells, Whirlpool, Voltas, Godrej, Crompton, Jio, Blue Star, and Daikin, reflect the confidence clients place in its capabilities. With its tool room, moulding, PCB fabrication, EMS, printing, and spring manufacturing all operating under one roof, supported by software-controlled production and automated CTQ monitoring, LRIPL delivers speed, quality, and responsiveness. When customers face challenges, solutions can be developed within the same facility, making the company’s partnerships both dependable and long-lasting.

Staying Strong

Divyu believes resilience is created through long-term decisions rather than short-term reactions. The company’s vertically integrated manufacturing model proved its value during the semiconductor shortage of 2021 and 2022, allowing LRIPL to continue production without missing major client commitments. That continuity was the outcome of years of planning, including bringing critical processes in-house and developing alternative supplier networks.

At the same time, he has invested steadily in people, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies. Early development of GaN charger platforms, OTT hybrid boxes, and Bluetooth remote solutions allowed LRIPL to stay ahead of changing customer needs. This forward-looking approach has strengthened the company’s role as a product development partner, delivering value well beyond manufacturing.

Ready for Every Challenge

The semiconductor shortage of 2021 and 2022 became one of the defining moments of Divyu’s leadership. He took direct responsibility by qualifying new suppliers, redesigning PCBs around available components, and introducing buffer inventory strategies that remain part of the company’s operations today. The experience strengthened his belief that delaying decisions often creates greater risks than acting with confidence.

Retaining skilled talent has also required continuous attention. His response has been to invest in structured training programmes, clear career progression, and a workplace where employees feel valued. As the market shifted from infrared to Bluetooth and voice-enabled technologies, he chose to invest in research and development ahead of confirmed demand. Those early decisions have helped LRIPL stay ahead of changing customer expectations.

Making Every Role Count

Divyu believes leadership should never be confined to an office. Regular interaction with teams on the production floor helps him stay connected to both people and processes. One of the most impactful changes he introduced was encouraging closer collaboration between research and development, production, and quality teams, resulting in faster product development and stronger outcomes.

Professional growth is driven by giving employees responsibilities before they feel completely prepared, allowing confidence and capability to develop together. Senior engineers regularly work across different functions, while team members gain exposure through client meetings and industry events. He also believes recognition plays an important role, celebrating strong contributions publicly to create pride and motivation across the organisation.

Balancing Opportunity with Discipline

Divyu approaches every strategic decision with a disciplined framework. He evaluates whether an opportunity aligns with the company’s strengths, whether there is genuine customer demand, and whether LRIPL can deliver at the quality standards its reputation requires. Projects that meet all three criteria move forward, while others are set aside until the organisation is fully prepared.

Risk management is equally deliberate. By expanding across clients, product categories, technologies, and supplier networks, he has ensured that no single customer or market dictates the company’s future. This diversified approach has enabled LRIPL to remain stable during periods that created significant challenges for many competitors.

Next Era of Electronics Manufacturing

Divyu believes the future of the industry will be shaped by AI-enabled devices, India’s emergence as a global manufacturing destination, and the growing importance of sustainable production. Remote controls are evolving into voice-enabled, Bluetooth-connected, and intelligent devices, and LRIPL has already positioned itself through continued development of advanced remote solutions and next-generation OTT platforms.

He also sees India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme as a major opportunity for domestic manufacturers. With its integrated manufacturing capabilities, proven quality standards, and production scale, LRIPL is well placed to benefit from this transformation. Alongside growth, sustainability remains a priority, with investments focused on energy-efficient manufacturing and recyclable materials that support responsible long-term development.

Expanding Beyond Market Leadership

Divyu’s vision is to establish LRIPL as a trusted global ODM and OEM partner for complete electronics manufacturing solutions. While the company already holds the position of India’s leading remote-control manufacturer, he believes the next phase lies in expanding its presence across a broader electronics landscape.

He led the company’s complete backward integration, bringing its tool room, injection moulding, PCB fabrication, EMS, printing, and spring manufacturing together under one roof. This has strengthened quality control, improved delivery timelines, and increased resilience during supply chain disruptions. His early investments in Bluetooth and voice-enabled remotes, OTT hybrid boxes, and GaN fast chargers, well before market demand accelerated, have positioned LRIPL as an innovation partner rather than only a manufacturing company.

Creating a Legacy Beyond Manufacturing

Divyu hopes to build a legacy that demonstrates Indian manufacturing can compete through quality and innovation rather than cost alone. He wants LRIPL to be recognised as a diversified electronics manufacturing leader that has created meaningful careers for 1,200+ people while earning the trust of over 250 of India’s most respected brands.

His advice to aspiring leaders reflects his own journey. Learn every aspect of the business from the ground up, because practical experience builds lasting judgement. Make decisions with confidence, accept mistakes with the same honesty, and build a reputation through trust and consistency. In his view, credibility remains the most valuable asset any leader can earn.
