Lenovo India Reshapes Leadership to Drive Growth

Lenovo India has made a top management team rearrangement which will not only reinforce its operations but also bring in more support for the enterprise and consumer technology markets. The changes signify a bold step by the company to implement the same strategy across the different business units and, at the same time, get ready for the expansion phase in the already competitive Indian tech market.

Amit Luthra will be appointed One Lenovo Commercial Leader which is the newly made position and it will be effective from 1st March 2026. He will lead in coordinating the sales and marketing efforts of the Intelligent Devices Group, Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Solutions and Services Group in Lenovo’s India operations.

His appointment is viewed as a strategy to dismantle existing barriers between business areas and enable the enterprise clients to receive co-ordinated and innovative solutions. Luthra has been with Lenovo India for over three and a half years where he played an important role in the supporting the scaling of the infrastructure business and also in nurturing partnerships and customer relations.

The firm, on the other hand, has also decided to promote Srinivas Rao to the post of Managing Director, Infrastructure Solutions Group. He was previously the Director of Presales for ISG and is now overseeing the development of Lenovo’s data centres and infrastructure business in India. This decision indicates that Lenovo is aware of the technology trends and in particular the growing importance of data and cloud services as a result of the increasing customer demand.

Lenovo made a consumer side move by appointing Kaman Chawla as the new Director of the Consumer Business in India. Chawla’s experience of over 25 years spans across telecom, consumer goods and IT. Previously he was the head of the Consumer Personal Systems business at HP Inc. for the countries of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Now he will be responsible for the growth and development of Lenovo’s PC and smart device business with the aim of market share expansion and brand strengthening through individual buyers and retail partners.

Shailendra Katyal, Vice President and Managing Director of Lenovo India, stated that the changes in the higher management positions are in line with the company’s goals of broadening the enterprise solutions, accelerating the consumer technology adoption and hence the growth in the region. He pointed out the essential character of the leadership that cuts across different segments in the company as Lenovo aims at assisting customers and partners during the period of digital transformation and the subsequent increase in the adoption of AI-based technologies.

The reshuffle is taking place when Lenovo India has been performing well. In the second quarter of its financial year 2026, the company reported a revenue of USD 1.2 billion, which is a 23 percent increase as compared to last year, thus showing the strong demand for its products and solutions.
One important change in the line-up of departing leaders is that Rohit Midha, Executive Director of Enterprise Business will leave the company after working for more than ten years as Lenovo’s Executive Assistant. Midha has not yet publicly revealed his next move.

In general, the leadership restructuring reveals Lenovo’s plan of using the management talent as an asset in the implementation of the company’s enterprise solutions and consumer technology growth strategies. The hiring of executives with varied backgrounds and precise objectives is expected to result in faster innovation, increased customer interaction, and keeping the company in the picture of the ever-changing Indian tech market.
