Roots, Study, and Early Responsibility

Cindy’s path carried both curiosity and commitment. She earned a BS in Agribusiness and an MBA from Morehead State University very early in 1982 and 1984, respectively. During those years, she served as a graduate assistant in the horsemanship programme, lived on the university farm, and managed demanding schedules. She fed two houses of 10,000 chickens, tended 100 head of cattle, cared for 10 nursing sows, and still made that early class. Those days built endurance, decisiveness, and quiet confidence.

In 1985, she moved to Frankfort, Kentucky, and began her government career as an accountant. Her first role with the Board of Hairdressers focused on data entry, accuracy, and collaboration. It appeared modest, yet it proved invaluable. Working alongside experienced professionals, Cindy saw real-world finance in action, where careful records support public trust and staff rely on each other to serve citizens well.

Entering Public Service with Purpose

Her momentum carried her to the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), where she advanced from accountant to health planner. The work demanded long hours and close study of systems that influence daily life. Each report, each financial model, was linked to a person seeking support or medical care, and that connection drove her forward.

Seeking deeper capability, Cindy earned the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. In May 1995, a pivotal appointment arrived: Health Planner, serving during a major reform effort with Governor Brereton Jones. She fielded public inquiries, helped host statewide town forums, and addressed urgent healthcare questions. She also played a role in removing 17 unscrupulous insurance companies from the state, strengthening protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Leadership, resilience, and practical empathy guided this period.

Strategic Leadership Over Complex Budgets

By 1995, Cindy accepted a leadership position with the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission, serving as lead analyst over the Health and Family Services Cabinet. Oversight extended to a £13 billion-equivalent budget that influenced programmes, staff, and outcomes across Kentucky. She encouraged collaboration, introduced quick reviews on urgent topics, and reinforced a climate of trust where professionals felt valued and engaged.

Her path advanced again when she became Chief Financial Officer for the same £13 billion CHFS budget. Financial discipline and human understanding worked side by side. Among her achievements, Cindy helped build the Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance Programme, which still brings in more than $200 million each year and supports coverage for over 85,000 low-income children. Partnership with governors, legislators, and state leaders marked these years, always with a focus on fairness and public good.

The Next Season: Insurance, Choice, and Independence

After 33 years of service, Cindy retired from government and launched her independent journey. In 2018, she became a licensed insurance agent. She began selling home, Medicare, and life insurance across the United States. Over time, her licences expanded to all 50 states, covering mortgage protection, final expense, general insurance, annuities, Medicare, car, and home coverage. Each client conversation felt personal, guided by compassion, clarity, and honesty.

Today, she works as a Licensed Insurance Agent with The Murray Group. She brings financial acumen, public service experience, and deep empathy to families who seek safe choices. She views this role as both a milestone and an ongoing mission. She keeps learning, mentors others, and aims for larger projects while staying attentive to industry developments. Her philosophy remains steady: growth continues through openness, effort, and resilience.

The Farm, The Family, The Balance

Parallel to her professional life, Cindy owns Triple M Stables LLC. She raises, trains, sells, and shows American Saddlebred show horses on 17 acres that her family has cared for over forty years. Every animal receives shelter, food, and attention. The rescued parakeet thrives there as well, a small reminder of compassion in daily routine.

At age 65, Cindy calls this the prime of her life. Working from home allows flexibility and balance. She manages her day, sets her pace, and maintains the strength of body and mind. She hopes to keep serving others for many years, guided by gratitude for the encouragement she has received across her journey.

Her priorities are clear: Faith first. Family second. Career third. She credits the unwavering support of her husband of 25 years, her older sister, her daughter and fiancé, her son and his wife, her grandson Greyson, and the 22 rescue animals on the farm. She says the greatest reward arrives when an animal that suffered neglect or abuse learns to trust again. That moment carries profound meaning.

Energy, Spirit, and Lifelong Curiosity

Cindy spends free time riding when possible sometimes after dark, caring for animals, cleaning stalls, cooking, reading, researching, and enjoying films such as John Wick and other classics. She attends professional events whenever schedules allow, keeps expanding her knowledge, and welcomes new opportunities. She won another Visionary Award at the CXO 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas, March 4–6, 2025, and is listed as a speaker and panel member. Also Las Vegas later in the year Fluxx Academy Award 2025 Wealth Management Leader of the Year. Recent The Prime Time Hall of Famer – Leader of the Year. Her humour remains sharp: after an ER doctor once suggested she should act her age during a visit for a stiff knee, she decided to take her business elsewhere.

Through every phase, Cindy has embraced a practical truth. Many times, she felt present at the right moment, making recommendations that improved lives across Kentucky and across the insurance clients she now serves. She describes herself as a Doer, someone who takes action and measures success by the people helped along the way.

A Career that Grew with Service

Across these roles, Cindy gained a reputation for perseverance, integrity, and calm judgment. She listened carefully, weighed evidence, and supported teams through complicated initiatives. She believed in progress through purposeful effort and clear communication.

Her dedication did not go unnoticed. She received honours such as Continental Who’s Who (2022), Institute of Management Accountants Twenty-five Year Award (2021), recognition among the Top 100 Global Leaders in Finance (2021), as well as listings in Marquis Who’s Who Top 1% (2022 and 2023) and Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide (2022 and 2023). Additional acknowledgements included Global Conference on Insurance and Finance Top 100 (2023), Money 2.0 Conference Visionaries Award (2023), Marquis Who’s Who in America (2023), numerous trophies and ribbons from American Saddlebred shows across the United States, and a front-cover feature as a Top Impactful and Unstoppable Personality in 2024 on Insight Success magazine.

Cindy continues to refine her expertise, explore emerging ideas, and support colleagues through mentorship. She plans to stay deeply engaged in healthcare and financial conversations, always with an eye toward practical solutions and real human outcomes.
