He pursued degrees in Biochemistry, Healthcare Management, Medico-Legal Systems, Law, and a Ph.D. in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This academic intensity gave him a very distinctive 360-degree perspective of the healthcare system—mixing science, administration, policy, and law.
From Practitioner to Pathbreaker
After completing postgraduate education, Dr. Nagpal’s next step was strategic and ambitious: he ventured into the medical diagnostic industry when large parts of India were waking up to the need for decentralized, high-quality laboratory facilities. At Manglam Diagnostics, and subsequently as co-owner and Lab Director at Tohana Manglam Diagnostics, he used his scholarly expertise to develop solid, technology-enabled diagnostic systems.
