Apple Raises Old iPhone Prices in India After iPhone 18 Launch 

Apple has raised the prices of older iPhone models in India after the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series and the first foldable iPhone. The Apple iPhone price hike in India touches the iPhone 17 iPhone 17e iPhone Air and iPhone 16. 

The iPhone 17 with 256GB storage now costs Rs 99,900 compared to Rs 82,900 earlier. The 512GB version of the iPhone 17 has increased to Rs 1,24,900 from Rs 1,02,900 showing the Apple iPhone price hike in India for larger storage options. 

The iPhone Air has seen the jump among the devices affected by the Apple iPhone price hike, in India. 

The iPhone Air has recorded the sharpest increase among the affected devices. Its 256GB model now costs Rs 1,49,900, while the 512GB version is priced at Rs 1,74,900. The 1TB model has jumped from Rs 1,59,900 to Rs 2,24,900, a Rs 65,000 increase. 

The iPhone price increase after the iPhone 18 launch also extends to the iPhone 17e. Its 256GB version now costs Rs 79,900, compared with Rs 64,900 earlier. The 512GB model has moved from Rs 84,900 to Rs 1,04,900. 

Apple has also revised the price of the iPhone 16. The 128GB version now carries a price tag of Rs 89,900, compared with its earlier reported price of Rs 69,900. 

The changes came after Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, priced from Rs 1,64,900 and Rs 1,79,900 respectively in India. The company also unveiled the iPhone Duo foldable model. 

The iPhone price increase after the iPhone 18 launch differs from the usual pattern in which older models become cheaper when a new generation arrives. Higher component costs have instead contributed to pressure on smartphone pricing. 

The Apple iPhone price hike in India is linked to rising memory-chip and component costs. Growing demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centres has tightened memory supplies, increasing costs for consumer electronics manufacturers.
